Minutes of the Meeting
September 12, 2020
The meeting, held at Ken Valeri’s garage in North Wales, was called to order at 1:05 p.m. by President Phil Christ. There were 39 members in attendance.
Secretary’s Report – Minutes of the March meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer’s Report – The current Treasury balance is $3,973.83.
Members to Report on
A moment of silence was held for Ed Roth, who passed away on March 7th.
Business
Officer candidates for the coming year were announced: President - Bob Martino; Vice President – Carol Allen; Treasurer – Phil Christ; Secretary – Diane Hall. Nominations from the floor will be accepted at the November meeting. Voting will be held at the December meeting.
Past Events
July 19 – To celebrate National Ice Cream Day, the Model A Club and DVR had a tour for ice cream. The destination was Longacres Dairy Bar. The tour, coordinated by Tony Russo and Jack Wright, was very well attended.
AACA Grand Nationals – Gettysburg. There were 470 cars. Congratulations to club members who received awards - Bruce Tempone, Second Grand National for his ’31 Model A pick-up; Cliff Wilson, Senior Grand National for his ’83 Thunderbird; Jay Ogle, First Grand National for his ’30 Model A Deluxe Coupe.
Future Meetings
Motion approved to continue holding meetings monthly. Since the school is closed, meetings could be combined with a car tour or visit to a member’s garage. Bob Martino, Tony Russo and Gary Volpe volunteered their facilities.
The October meeting will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the Classic Car Mall in Morgantown. Tour of the Mall will follow the meeting. Lunch at Shady Maple for those interested.
Future Events
Oct. 10 – AACA Fall Car Show – Only AACA members can attend. Make sure you have your membership card. Tony Russo and Bob Martino plan to attend.
Glidden Tour postponed to 2021
North Penn High School Car Club garage visit – postponed
Holiday Party at Bay Pony Inn – will probably be a smaller group
Car Updates and Miscellaneous
Tom Hudecki moved his cars to a new facility in August.
Howard Kriebel suggested a contest for members who drove their Model A the most miles in a year.
The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the Classic Car Mall, Morgantown.
The November meeting date and place to be determined. Refreshments for November will be provided by Roth, Wood, Brown, Sague.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:10 p.m.
