Minutes of the Meeting
October 17, 2020
The meeting, held at the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by President Phil Christ. There were 33 members in attendance.
Secretary’s Report – Minutes of the September meeting were approved.
Treasurer’s Report – The current Treasury balance is $3,973.83.
Business
Officer candidates for the coming year were announced: President - Bob Martino; Vice President – Carol Allen; Treasurer – Phil Christ; Secretary – Diane Hall. Nominations from the floor will be accepted at the November meeting. Voting will take place at the December meeting, with installation in January.
Club dues for 2021 will be $20. The 2021 dues notice and holiday party sign-up will be mailed shortly. The holiday party cost is $30/person.
MARC dues for 2021 are now due. All Club members must be members of MARC.
MAFFI (Model A Ford Foundation, Inc.) is requesting a $100 donation from each club. The Model A Day at the Gilmore cancellation resulted in lost financial support for the Foundation and Museum. All MARC and MAFCA clubs are being asked to donate. A motion was approved to donate $100.
Discussion regarding “car for sale” ads (Model A vehicles, non-Model A, member requests, non-member requests) being emailed to Club members was tabled for a future meeting.
Future Meetings
The November meeting will be held November 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Bob Martino’s in Skippack. The December meeting will be held December 12 at Gary Volpe’s, North Wales. Details on both meetings will be issued.
Future Events
Jan. 3 – 4p.m. Holiday Party at Bay Pony Inn. Cost is $30/person. The Gift Game at the party has been cancelled.
North Penn High School Car Club garage visit – postponed
Following the meeting, members toured the Classic Auto Museum, as well as the car show in the parking lot.
The November meeting will be held on Saturday, November 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Bob Martino’s. Refreshments for November will be provided by MacIlwain, Gormley, Wood, Brown.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:45 a.m.
