North Penn Model A Ford Club
October 2, 2017 Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by President Phil Christ. The meeting was held at
the Penndale Middle School, Lansdale, PA. There were 32 members in attendance.
We observed a moment of silence for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting.
Secretary’s Report- The September minutes were read and approved as submitted.
Treasurer’s Report- Ed Roth reported an end of month balance of $4,362.79.
$143.00 of the balance is earmarked for the charity fund. Ed’s report was approved as submitted.
Old Business- The Central Schwenkfelder Church Country Fair and car show was well
attended with over 200 cars. Tom Hudecki and Tony Russo won prizes at Hatfield’s Roctober Fest.
New Business- Dave Buehler will not be rejoining the club due to serious health issues.
John Greenly will help with needed repairs to Dave’s coupe.
Joe Rogers is recovering from a heart procedure.
Pete Watson would like to see more Model A’s participate at the Old Forge Motors Cars and Coffee event which is held every Saturday throughout the year.
Oct 4-7- Hershey AACA Show and Flea Market
Oct. 14th- Hay Creek Apple Festival
Oct 19th- Peter Wentz Farmstead, Talk on George and Martha Washington. Covered dish
dinner at 5:30pm, Meeting at 6:30pm.
Oct 21st- NPMAFC Fall Tour. Meet at the Worcester School at 10am. Stops at Bob Martino’s
and John Posen’s to see their car collections. Lunch at Mermaid Lake. Bring a side dish
or dessert.
Oct 21st- Harleysville Rotary Halloween Parade. Contact Gary Volpe for details.
Oct. 29th- St. Helena’s Church 1489 Dekalb Pk Blue Bell, Pa Anniversary Celebration 2-6pm.
Oct 29th- Peddler’s Village Lincoln Car Show
Nov 4th- NPMAFC Tech Session at Old Forge Motors, Lansdale, PA (Note New Date)
Nov18th- Lansdale Mardi Gras Parade, followed by lunch at the American Star Diner.

Dec2nd- Souderton Parade
Jan 1st- Potential New Year’s Day tour.
Jan7th- Club Holiday Party at the Bay Pony Inn, 4:00 to 7:00pm
Tom Hudecki discussed the mentor program. Tom is helping new member Charlie Olsen.
Tom also discussed the possibility of test driving other member’s Model A’s to get a feel for how other A’s drive on the road. North Penn High School is a possible test drive site.
The club is looking to fill the post of Membership Chairman. Contact Dick Longcoy or Phil
Christ if interested.
Nominations for club officers for 2018 were discussed. Phil Christ, Ed Roth, and Jack Wright will stay on in their current roles.
We will have to fill the position of secretary. Contact Phil Christ if you are interested.
Tech Talk- Tom Hudecki gave an excellent presentation on The Triple A’s and their various
plans and packages.
50-50 Drawling- The drawling was not held this evening.
