North Penn Model A Ford Club
October 3rd Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by President Phil Christ. There were 36 members in attendance.
Three new members were introduced- Louis Steskal, Dave Buehler and Dave Ward.
Secretary's Report - The September minutes were read and approved as submitted.
Treasurers Report - Treasure Ed Roth reported a balance of $3975.25 and was approved as submitted.
Old Business - Previous events were discussed- Hay Creek Show, Schwenkfelder Country Fair.
New Business - Dini Vigliano, our refreshment commitee chairperson, noted the members responsible for refreshments for the November and December meetings. Barbara Gormley suggested that members should be on for the same month each year. The secretary will also note the members responsible for the next months meeting in the minutes. The refreshment list is also noted on the club website.
Upcoming activities- October 15th- Upper Salford Township 275th Anniversary Car Show and Community Event, 9am to 3pm at the Upper Salford Park, Schwenksville and Salford Station Roads.
October 22nd- Back Forty Museum, Limerick, PA tour and lunch at the Limerick Diner. Meet at the Worcester School 10am, Route 73 and Valley Forge Road.
Also October 22nd- The Harleysville Rotary 34th Annual Halloween Parade, registration and line-up10am at the Indian Valley Middle School.
October 29th- John Haines car show we will meet at the Harleysville Walmart 9am.
November 5th- Tech Session 9am at Old Forge Motors, Lansdale, PA
November 7th- NPMAFC meeting at Volpe Enterprises, 217 Church Road, North Wales PA
November 19th- Lansdale Mardi Gras Parade, Jim Reed to report on the meeting location.
The "Model A Ford Foundation" was discussed. A motion was made by Dick Longcoy, seconded by Tom Hudecki and passed to donate $100 dollars to the foundation.
An invitation will be extended to Mike Boyer and his wife to join us at our Holiday Party. Mike organizes the North Penn High School car show.
Tom Hudecki discussed a new screening for movie "Bloodrunners" which will be at the Regal Cinema, King of Prussia, PA. Thursday October 20th, 8pm.
Tech Talk- Tom Hudecki talked about winterizing the Model A Ford.
50-50 Drawing- Won by John Elliot. John donated his winnings back to the club.
November Refreshments - Emerson, Roth, Woods, Brown and Sague.
December Refreshments - Christ, Volpe, Berlinger and Howard.
