Minutes of the Meeting – March 4, 2024
 
 
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Carol Allen. 
 
Secretary’s Minutes – The minutes of the February meeting were read and approved.
 
Treasurer’s Report – There were deposits of $50 and payments for 2 MARC dues of $100.  The Treasury balance as of March 4 is $16,083.04.   
 
Update on Members
  • Dini Vigliano is scheduled for knee surgery March 27.  We wish her a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
  • Bruce Brown is ill.  Our thoughts are with him.
 
Past Activities
  • March 2 – Active A’s invited our club to join them on a car tour to Middle Creek Wildlife Center to view the snow geese migration.  This was cancelled due to weather.
 
Future Activities (NPMAFC-sponsored activities in bold)
  • April 13 –   Time TBD.   Meet at Worcester Elem. School to drive each other’s cars.  Then depart for a car tour to Pennypacker Mills.
  • April 28 – Steve Ryan Model A/AA Show and Swap (hosted by Lehigh Valley Model A Club), Goodwill Vol. Fire Company (7723 Hamilton Blvd, Breinigsville, PA  18031)  9 am-3 pm   All Model A’s and vintage Fords welcome.
  • May 18 – Pleasantville UCC Church Car Show (3424 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont, PA  18914)   9 am–2pm.  Car pre-registration $12.  Contact:  Jay Ogle (215-527-2174) 
  • May 19 – 27th Annual Ambler Main Street Car Show – Butler Ave, Ambler.  1-6 pm  (pre-registration for cars $20 due by April 26)
  • May 27 – Collegeville-Trappe Memorial Day parade
  • May 27 – Wayne Memorial Day parade
  • June 1 – Cars for Christ Car Show – Heidelberg Church (1101 Cowpath Rd, Hatfield, PA  19440)       9 am – 2 pm.  Car pre-registration $12; $15 day of show.
  • June 8 – Club picnic at Green Lane Park
  • July 4 – Skippack parade
  • Aug. 2-4 – Dass Awkscht Fescht – Macungie Memorial Park, Macungie
  • Ontelaunee Region of AACA is organizing a 3-day tour to the PA Grand Canyon area.  Tom Hudecki will check into details.
 
Club Business
  • Fran Fusco conducted the yearly audit of club financial records.  No issues were found and books have been returned to Mark Howard.
  • Club Apparel – Mark Howard placed the order for the new clothing.  We get a group discount from the supplier.
  • PA College of Technology – Mark received a nice note from the school president.  Marv McKown plans to visit the school to see classes in session.
  • Meeting Programs – There was discussion about types of programs we could have following the business portion of our meetings.  Possibilities were movies/videos, a short talk from members about the history of their cars (why a Model A, when it was purchased, stories about car trips, etc.) – 1 person per meeting.
  • Tom Hudecki reminded everyone that now is the time to get the cars checked out and running.
 
 
The next meeting will be held on Monday, April 1st at 7 pm at Trinity UCC Church, Skippack.  Refreshments will be provided by Elliott, Silverman, Ford, Bosler and Emerson.
