Minutes of the Meeting – March 21, 2022
The meeting, held at Trinity UCC Church, was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Bob Martino. There were approx. 40 attendees.
Treasurer’s Report – The Treasury balance as of February 28 is $5,729.00. A decision was made to discontinue the 50/50. The separate account for the MARC Meet has a balance of $24,301.02.
Membership
With dues in for 2022, 5 new members joined the Club. Four families did not rejoin.
This has been a very unusual year and the Club has been unable to schedule many activities. We were unable to have our Holiday Party in January. The Club will be arranging an appreciation picnic/party to thank our members for their support. Details to be announced in the near future.
Future Events
2022 MARC National Meet – June 5-11
Plans are finalized and registrations coming in for the MARC National Meeting in Morgantown. As of today, 86 registrations have been received. We are expecting 600+ attendees.
The registration form is the centerfold in the latest MARC Magazine. The form is also on the MARC website – www.modelarestorers.org - Under Events, go to Morgantown 2022 National Meet, click on Registration Form.
There are many interesting seminars and activities during the week. The auction, scheduled for Tuesday evening, will have many auto-related and non-auto-related items. Sue Ryan is donating her husband’s antique gas pump and antique air pump.
Come and participate in the Meet seminars and activities. Meet Model A’ers from around the country who are all excited to attend. On Sunday and Monday, greeters are needed outside and inside the hotel – Model A parking, general parking, RV parking. Inside the hotel, greeters will direct attendees to registration, hospitality room, seminar rooms. Help will be needed in registration, hospitality, auction and raffle, ice cream social and picnic. The spreadsheet of volunteer assignments will be sent out in the near future. Volunteers should take time to enjoy the Meet experience – not just work. Note: Everyone, including volunteers, needs to register for the Meet.
Refreshments Committee
Dini Vigliano needs members to sign up to provide snacks and beverages for upcoming meetings. Please contact Dini to volunteer. The refreshments schedule is attached.
Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 10:00 a.m. at Ken Valeri’s garage, 401B Industrial Dr, North Wales, PA 19454. (Directions from Sumneytown Pike – Turn onto Dickerson Rd. Turn right onto Industrial Dr. and go to the end of the cul-de-sac to 401A. 401B is attached, behind 401A.)
Refreshments for the April meeting will be provided by Elliott, Silverman, Ford, Bosler and Emerson.
There will be a joint North Penn/Lehigh Valley club meeting at the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown on Saturday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. We will have a walk-through prior to the Meet a few weeks later.

Future Events
- April 2 – Tech Session at Old Forge. 9:00 a.m. This will be a “spring check-up” of tires, antifreeze, oil, etc. to start the Spring/Summer driving season. Dave Whitmire will attend to lend assistance. Hot dogs and beverages will be provided.
- April 3 – DVR Dust Off Run to Crystal Cave in Kutztown, PA (963 Crystal Cave Rd, Kutztown, PA 19530). Meet between 8:30-9:00 a.m. in front of the WalMart in Harleysville, opposite the water treatment plant (651 Main St, Harleysville, PA 19438). It's a 1-1/2 hr car tour to Crystal Cave. The tour of Crystal Cave begins at 11:00 a.m. The cost for the tour is $13.00 per person (exact cash please). Ruth Ann Christ and Doug will sell the tickets in the upper parking lot. Following the tour, lunch will be at Ozgoods Grill & Bar (ordering off the menu). Please call Ruth Ann Christ @ 267-446-2593 or email ([email protected]). Please RSVP by Monday March 28th.
- April 30 – Bryn Mawr College is having a roarin’ 20’s parade and looking for 20’s and 30’s cars. A car tour to the College will be arranged, departing Worcester Elem. School. More details to follow. Contact Steve Sensenich.
- April 24 – Lehigh Valley Club’s “Steve Ryan Model A/AA Show & Swap” at the Goodwill Vol. Fire Co. (7723 Hamilton Blvd, Breinigsville, PA 18031). Stock or original Model A Ford and era equipment only. Pin-striping by Jim Brand. Concessions
- The April NPMAFC meeting will be held toward the end of April - date TBC.
- May 30 – Collegeville-Trappe Memorial Day Parade. Contact Howard Kriebel ([email protected]) with your name and year/make/model car to get a line-up number. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at Augustus Lutheran Church on Seventh Avenue in Trappe. The parade will begins at 10:00 a.m. Remembrance Service and Community Day follows the parade at Waterworks Park, around 11:30 am.
- July 4 – Several parades are planned in the local area (Skippack (contact Gary Volpe), Upper Salford (contact Barbara Gormley) and Oreland. Details to follow.
- Tom Hudecki is working on a weekend tour for the fall to Gettysburg. A private tour of the battlegrounds will be a featured activity. Details to follow.
