Minutes of the Meeting
December 3, 2018
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Phil Christ. The meeting was held at Penndale Middle School, Lansdale, PA. There were 33 members in attendance.
Secretary’s Report – The November minutes were read. Clarification was made regarding the past winners of the Most Helpful and Most Spirited Awards. The 2013 winners are eligible for awards this year. The minutes were approved as corrected.
Treasurer’s Report – The Treasury balance is $5699.82. Prior to the meeting, 34 members have renewed dues for 2019 and 40 people have paid for the January 6t h Holiday Party.
Awards
Twenty-three ballot envelopes have been received (64% return). Ed Roth and Phil Christ will count the ballots after the Dec. 20th deadline. Winners will be announced at the Holiday Party. The Rusty Wrench Award will be determined by Tom and Kathy Hudecki, the 2018 recipient.

Members to report on
Rick Cranmer, a new member, was welcomed to his first meeting. Rick is from Doylestown. He has a 1929 Model A which he has had since he was 17.
New Business
Election of officers was held. All current officers are re-elected – Philip Christ, President; Jack Wright, VP; Ed Roth, Treasurer; Diane Hall, Secretary.
Events to Report on
Nov. 10 – Tech Session –Not many cars participated due to bad weather. Headlights were adjusted. Some cars had other issues that were also addressed.
Nov. 17 – Lansdale Mardi Gras Parade. Three cars from the Club participated
Dec. 1 – Souderton Christmas Parade. Ten cars participated. Weather was great. A lot more spectators than previous parades. Lunch was at O’Grady’s.
Future Events
Dec. 15 - Old Forge final “Cars and Coffee”, 7 a.m. Club members are asked to attend with their old cars, weather permitting. Tony Russo will be auctioning small items (no tools or equipment) beginning at 10 a.m. Hot dogs, etc. will be provided during the late morning, as is our custom at Tech Sessions.
Jan. 1 – New Year’s Day run and lunch – Meet at 11 a.m. at McDonald’s in Harleysville for the run. Run will be Model A or modern. Lunch will be at the Family Heritage Diner
(Rt. 113 and Allentown Road, Franconia) at 12:30 p.m. Phil Christ coordinating.
Jan. 6 – Holiday Party – 4 p.m. at Bay Pony Inn. The Berlingers will run the gift swap. Gift value should be approx. $10 – no used parts. If gift is a food, the package should be clearly marked as food. Unique and special wrapping makes the gift selection interesting.
2019 Activities
Ed Roth presented a schedule of activities for 2019. The Club is looking for volunteers to coordinate activities, as well as suggestions for future activities. The Halls are working on a possible visit to a Model A restoration garage. Shirley Kernechel is working on something for April or May. Some suggestions were:
Miscellaneous
A motion was proposed to present a gift to Pete Watson to thank him for hosting the Tech Sessions over many years. A $150 gift certificate to a restaurant (TBD) was voted on and the motion passed.
Car Updates
Cliff Wilson showed a photo of his car in front of a historic house taken by Jerry Keifer, a professional photographer. Jerry focuses on shots of historic sites, etc., using different lighting techniques. He is looking for vehicles from the 40’s and 50’s to use in scenes. Cliff said the shoot takes about 4 hours.
Carol Allen reported that Ed White’s 1931 Model A is probably sold. His hotrod (chopped and channeled) is still available.
The 50/50 raffle was won by Fred Coyne.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Penndale Middle School.
