Dues for 2023 have been reduced from $20 to $10. The Holiday Party was subsidized.
Here are some of the suggestions discussed:
- Continue to offset some costs for the Holiday Party. Motion passed.
- Pay for meeting refreshments – It was voted down; people enjoy bringing goodies once a year and the costs are minimal.
- Club dues are $20. A motion was made to reduce dues to $5 (token dues) . New members would pay $20 the first year. The motion was tabled. CORRECTION
- Pay a portion of Club members’ MARC membership. The Club would pay $20 toward member’s MARC dues. (Members must send their completed renewal slip and a check to Treasurer. Specific details at a later date.) The motion was tabled.
- Pay members’ entrance fees for Club-sponsored museum tours in 2023. (If there’s no entrance fee, a donation will be made.) This motion passed.
- Design apparel with Club logo for purchase (i.e., T-shirt, jacket, hat) for Club recognition at various events (parades, etc.). The apparel would be paid out of the club treasury. The exact apparel or the amount of money was not determined. Barbara Gormley to look into prices, etc. Carol Allen suggested redesigning the Club logo for the new apparel. CORRECTION
- Contribute to a scholarship fund for a tech school student. Discussed vintage vehicle restoration at Penn College of Technology, School of Restoration in Williamsport. Marv McKown to check into this.
- Purchase amplification or projection equipment for meetings and other activities . Question who stores/maintains the equipment. This suggestion was voted down.
