Minutes of the Meeting – April 23, 2022
The meeting, held at Ken Valeri’s car garage, was called to order at 10:00 am by President Bob Martino. There were 30 attendees.
Treasurer’s Report – The Club Treasury balance as of March 31 is $5,724.60. The separate account for the MARC Meet has a balance of $55,822 as of April 22.

2022 MARC National Meet – June 5-11
As of today, 180 registrations have been received and processed. We’re expecting 600+ attendees. The registration form is on the MARC website – www.modelarestorers.org - Under Events, go to Morgantown 2022 National Meet, click on Registration Form.
Sign-ups for the seminars, the Grand Tour and other activities are going well. The auction, scheduled for Tuesday evening, will have many auto-related and non-auto-related items. We are still looking for more auction and raffle donations.
Volunteers will have plenty of time to attend seminars and other activities. The spreadsheet of volunteer assignments will be sent out in the near future. Volunteers should take time to enjoy the Meet experience – not just work. Note: Everyone, including volunteers, needs to register for the Meet.
Saturday, June 4, is “set up and work day” ahead of the Meet start on Sunday, June 5. We will meet at 10:00 a.m. to set up seminar rooms, hospitality area, registration room, etc. The swap spaces will be marked out prior to June 4.
Some attendees might arrive on Saturday. Registration starts at 12:00 noon on Sunday, June 5.
Next Meeting
There will a coordination meeting of the North Penn/Lehigh Valley clubs at the Holiday Inn in Morgantown on Saturday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. We will have a walk-through of the property prior to the Meet. The staff shirts for volunteers will be available at this meeting.

Members Update
- Lots of members have been driving their cars.
- Mike Crofton sold his 1929 Phaeton to a Club member.
- Bob Martino knows someone looking to buy a 1930-31 4-door car.
- Ken Valeri purchased a 1970 Chevelle. He’s working on his 1931 Cabriolet to get it ready for the MARC Meet.
Past Activities
- April 2 – Tech Session at Old Forge. 25 members attended. Dave Whitmire led the “spring check-up” of tires, antifreeze, oil, etc. (Old Forge has announced they are closing down July 1.)
Future Events
- April 30 – Bryn Mawr College is having a Roarin’ 20’s event and looking for 20’s and 30’s cars, starting at 1:00 pm. Lunch or dinner will be provided for those attending with their Model A’s. A car tour to the College has been arranged, departing Worcester Elem. School at 11:30 am. Several members have signed up. Contact Carol Allen regarding the drive to Bryn Mawr. Contact Steve Sensenich for details on the event.
- May 30 – Collegeville-Trappe Memorial Day Parade. Contact Howard Kriebel ([email protected]) with your name and year/make/model car to get a line-up number. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at Augustus Lutheran Church on Seventh Avenue in Trappe. The parade will begins at 10:00 a.m. Remembrance Service and Community Day follows the parade at Waterworks Park, around 11:30 am.
- July 4 – Several parades are planned in the local area (Skippack (contact Gary Volpe), Upper Salford (contact Barbara Gormley) and Oreland. Details to follow.
- The Club will plan more ice cream runs during the summer months. Details to come.
- Aug. 6 – Macungie breakfast at Sue and Dave Wood’s house, 8:00 am, rain or shine. This will be the 16th year that Sue and Dave have hosted this breakfast. Help is always needed to set up and tear down. Call Sue (610-287-6380) and tell her you’re coming and if you’re bringing anything. “A mini car show before Macungie.”
