North Penn Model A Ford Club
April 3, 2017 Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by President Phil Christ. The meeting was held at
the Penndale Middle School, Lansdale PA. There were 47 members in attendance.
Secretary’s Report- The March minutes were read and approved as submitted.
Treasurer’s Report- Ed Roth reported an end of month balance of $4819.79
Ed’s report was approved as submitted.
Old Business-
Dave Wood had a mini-stroke. His health is improving; he is working on an almost all wooden car.
Bruce Saylor is having an operation like Gene Yeager’s to fix problems with his back.
There is a Memorial Service for Ray Bosler Jr’s mother; longtime club members will remember her as a member. The service will be held this Sunday, April 9 at Dock Woods Chapel located off Detwieler Road in Kulpsville. There is a meet and greet from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, followed by the service at 4:00. Anyone interested should plan to meet at 3:45 in the parking lot of the chapel. Antique cars are encouraged. Carol Allen will have black ribbons to place on your Model A mirror.
The March 25 tour was postponed; it is being rescheduled for May 6. Details will be sent out in an email; basic info – those in the area will meet at Zoto’s Diner on Rt. 309 at 9:15 to go to the Keith House and then the Wings of Freedom Aviation Museum. Lunch will follow at Lancer’s Diner.
The April 1 tour to Harry Tucci’s car collection was a success. There were 27 participants.
Carl Berlinger and Dave Wood met 2 veterans through an organization called the Compass Circle. They got together with Army Specialist Military Policeman Phil Yost, and Air Force Master Sergeant Scott Wolfinger and gave them each $250 from our Holiday Party raffle. Both men were extremely appreciative.
This led to a discussion of donating future 50/50 drawing proceeds; and there was a motion that was seconded to have the club’s portion of the 50/50 proceeds to be donated to a charitable cause when the proceeds accumulate to $250.
New Business
Phil announced that MARC new members are still half price to join in 2017.

Tony Russo gave a talk on detailing your car. He will also be doing a demo of this at the next tech session on April 22.

New Business
- April 22nd- NPMAFC Tech Session at Old Forge Motors, Lansdale PA. There will be general fix-ups done and a demo of how to clean your car
- April 22 – Free event at Peter Wentz Farmstead – Sheep Shearing; 10:00 – 3:00
- April 29th- Model A Ford Day at Grist Mill Park, Hellertown, PA; those interested in meeting can meet at Dave Buehler’s house on Rt. 113. A detailed note will be sent out with meeting times, etc.
- May 25th – North Penn High School car show. Arrive around 9:30. The club will reimburse the student car club for lunch that the student club pays for, rounding up the total.
- May 29th- Memorial Day Parade, Collegeville, PA; contact Howard Kriebel; Howard passed around a paper to see who is interested.
- June 4th- Goschenhoppen Spring Frolic, Perkiomenville, PA; free event on Colonial Road off of Route 73; 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Ed will be making ice cream
- June 10th- NPMAFC picnic at Green Lane Park.
- June 17 – Lansdale Under the Lights car show
- July 4th- Oreland and Glenside parades.
- July 30th to August 4th- MARC National Meet, Gettysburg, PA
- August 3rd to 6th- Macungie car show, breakfast at the Wood’s on Saturday the 5th.
