Update on Members
- Gary Volpe is recovering after battling pneumonia.
- Tony Russo’s wife, Fran, was very pleased to see many people from our club and others attended his viewing and his funeral. Several people drove their antique cars to the funeral services on Friday.
Past Activities
- Nov. 18 – Lansdale 72nd Annual Mardi Gras Parade – Jim Reed will contact the parade planning committee to request changing the direction of the parade (downhill). Our cars were in a poor position in the parade.
- Nov. 23 – Thomas Massey House Thanksgiving Day Run (Broomall) – Karl Beers and Frank Falcone attended. There were ±10 Model A’s. There was a 1929 2-door all original Model A, which the owner’s grandfather purchased new from a Ford dealer back in the day.
- Dec. 2 – Souderton Holiday Parade – Fifteen people in 8 cars participated in the parade. There was a good crowd and the weather was nice.
Future Activities (NPMAFC-sponsored activities in bold)
- Jan. 7, 2024 – Holiday Party at Bay Pony Inn. The party will be moved to lunchtime and afternoon (12:00 noon-5:00 pm). Members pay $10/person and the Club subsidizing $25/person. New members would pay full price of $35. A requested cheese board before the buffet will not be added due to the cost. The Club awards (Most Helpful, Most Spirited, Rusty Wrench) will be given out during the party. Carl and Ellen Berlinger are running the gift exchange. Gifts should be $15 minimum (no chocolate, food or used car parts). Crazy/deceptive wrapping always make the exchange a lot of fun. Use your imagination!
- The 2025 MARC National Meet will be held in Gettysburg.
