Minutes of the Meeting – September 8, 2025
The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by President Carol Allen. There were 39 people in attendance.
Secretary’s Minutes – The minutes of the May meeting were accepted as issued.
Treasurer’s Report – There were expenditures of $1,331.88 (i.e., website domain renewal, Bratton gift card for Amy and John George, Penn College of Technology scholarship, picnic supplies). Return of $400 Green Lane security deposit was deposited. Treasury balance as of September 8 is $11,823.27. Mark received 2 letters from Penn Tech thanking the club for the scholarship. (The letters are posted on the NPMAFC website home page.)

John Rossi drove his Model A to the meeting to demonstrate the headlights he converted to 12 volt VW headlights. The conversion kit is available in Bratton’s catalog.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, October 6, at 7pm at Trinity UCC Church in
Skippack at 7pm. Refreshments will be provided by McKown, Hall, Coyne and Tempone.

Past Activities
- June 21 - Club Picnic at Green Lane Park.
- August 2 – Annual breakfast at Dave and Sue Wood’s before Dass Awkscht Fescht.
- Sept. 13 – Car run touring around Valley Forge National Park to celebrate International Model A Ford Day. Even though it was a last-minute decision to do the event there were five attendees with four Model A’s.
Upcoming Activities
- Sept. 20 – Antique and classic car show at Green Lane Park celebrating the park’s 150th anniversary. 10am-4pm. Walnut St. between Second and Fourth Sts. Food trucks will be onsite.
- Oct. 11 – Tech session at Ken Valeri’s facility (1400 Pennbrook Parkway, near the Pennbrook train station and Homewood Suites Hotel). 9am-12n. Our “experts” on hand will be Tom Hudecki, Joe Silverman and John Rossi. Stations will be set up to check for spark, check for gas, headlights, windshield wipers. Refreshments will be available – coffee, donuts, hot dogs and all the fixings. Any questions, contact Tom Hudecki.
- Oct. 25 – Gerry Watson’s 90th birthday party hosted by his family. 11am-3pm at Hatfield Car Museum (41 E. Lincoln Ave, Hatfield, PA 19440). RSVP 610-608-5608. Gerry was a long-time member of our club. All club members are invited.
- Nov. 22 – Lansdale Mardi Gras parade
- Dec. 6 – Souderton Holiday Parade
- Jan. 4 – Holiday Luncheon at the Bay Pony Inn
- TBC – In the Spring – Drive each other’s cars. Compare your brakes, steering, shifting. Ladies drive the cars.
Other Business
- Cliff Wilson presented Jim Decker with the trophy he won at the recent St. Teresa’s Catholic Church car show. There were approx. 110 cars; Cliff’s 1931 Tudor was in the top 10 awards. Jim won the Parish Priest’s Award for his 1931 Model A Victoria.
- There was discussion about scheduling club activities each month. A consensus was reached to designate the Saturday following the club meeting for an activity. Upcoming dates for activities are October 11, November 15, December 6. Details for each activity to follow.
- A guest attending the meeting (Stuart McPherson (sp?), recently purchased a 1929 Phaeton from Long Island. He is having problems with the brakes and the car overheating. He is interested in getting some help from our members.
