Car News
Program
John Rossi bought his 1930 Deluxe Coupe in 1982, “rust free”, missing everything. He spent 42 years restoring and hopping up the car. The “new car” now has 300 miles on it.
Jim Ford gave a history of his 1928 60A Leatherback. His father bought the car in 1969. Only one owner, from Hazelton area. The most unusual feature was the cowl vent. The car was all black. The top was tarred over black (original top was brown). In the late 1980’s his dad had the motor rebuilt. In 2000 Jim had all the wood restored (frame up) by a boat builder who said it was the hardest jigsaw to put together.
Tom Hudecki had some tips to prepare your car for a tour. Have the car checked out. Then – drive the car and you’ll find things that might need work. Check brakes, different noises, etc.
