The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Carol Allen. There were 40 people in attendance.
Secretary’s Minutes – The minutes of the April meeting were not read but were approved as issued.
Treasurer’s Report – The current balance is $12,732.15.

John Rossi gave a very informative presentation on carburetors. He did a performance comparison of early Ford and after-market carburetors. He compared the Zenith 1 (Ford 1928-31); Marvil/Allstate 2405; Tillotson Model XF and Zenith 3 B carburetor (Ford supplied on cars 1932-34; float design). John also had information on rebuild kits and services.

Past Activities
- May 3 – Tour of historic Humane Fire Engine Co. #1 and Five Saints Distillery, hosted by John and Amy George. We had a great turn-out (40+) attend this informative and fun-filled visit. A thank-you gift certificate to Bratton’s was given to John and Amy.
Upcoming Activities
- May 15 – North Penn HS Auto Show (1340 S. Valley Forge Rd, Lansdale 19446). Set-up time 10:45-11:15am; show 11:15am-1:30pm. The students are looking forward to seeing our cars again this year. We have 9 members signed up. We’d like to include autos through the decades. Contact Diane Hall to sign up.
- May 18 – HCCP Car Show – Linvilla Orchards. 9am-3pm
- May 31 – Pleasantville UCC Church 3rd annual car show and food drive. 9am-2pm. Location: Pleasantville UCC Church, 3424 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont 18914. Contact Jay Ogle for additional information.
- May 26 – Trappe-Collegeville Memorial Day Parade. Meet at Augustus Lutheran Church (717 W. Main St, Trappe) between 9:00-9:15am. Upon entering, you will be assigned a number corresponding to your position in the parade. The parade kicks off at 10:00am sharp, proceeding down Main Street. Don’t forget to decorate your car! Any questions, contact Howard Kriebel.
- June 7 - Tech Session at Ken Valeri’s. 9am-12n. Address and details will be sent out. Donuts, hot dogs and beverages will be served.
- June 21 - Club Picnic at Green Lane Park. A sign-up sheet was passed around the meeting. Details and additional information will be sent in early June. Any questions, contact Carol Allen.
- August 2 – Annual breakfast at Dave and Sue Wood’s (1335B North Gravel Pike, Perkiomenville 18074). 8:00am (rain or shine). Call Sue (on her cell) to sign up and tell her what you will bring. “A mini car show before Macungie!” Please let Sue know if you can help set up the day before.
Other Business
- Marv McKown visited the PA College of Technology earlier today. He was very impressed with what he saw. It’s a beautiful campus. Marv was fortunate enough to have a private tour by one of the professors. Buildings are dedicated to electrical, brakes & suspension, engine, valves & heads. Also a Honda building, sponsored by Honda, and a building dedicated to older cars (1915 Model T, 1912 Buick). The cars are all donated.
- Jim Ford presented information on TROG, an event held in Wildwood, NJ the first weekend in October. “No Trophies, Only Glory” The Race of Gentlemen is an annual vintage car race that takes place on the beach in Wildwood, N.J. The competition celebrates Americana, hot rods and beach racing. Every car must pre-date 1934, and drivers must dress for the historical period. The race is open to 200 racers – cars and motorcycles. Swap meet on Friday. There are videos on YouTube.
