North Penn Model A Ford Club
November 6th, 2017 Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:25pm by President Phil Christ. The meeting was held
at Volpe Enterprises, 217 Church Rd, North Wales, PA There were 47 members in attendance.
We observed a moment of silence for the victims of the Sutherland Springs shooting.
Secretary’s Report- The October minutes were read and approved as submitted.
Treasure’s Report- Ed Roth reported a balance of $4,312.79. $143.00 is earmarked for the
Charity Fund. Ed’s report was approved as submitted.
Old Business- Previous shows and activities were discussed. Hershey, Hay Creek, NPMAFC
Fall Tour and the tech session where Howard Kriebel gave a seminar on Model A front ends
and steering.
New Business- Dave Buehler donated a number of car related items which can be used for a raffle. The proceeds will used at the clubs discretion.
Ray Sague is home from the hospital and feeling better.
Our slate of officers for 2018 is- President- Phil Christ, Vice President- Jack Wright,
Treasurer- Ed Roth, Secretary- Diane Hall. Elections will be at the December meeting.
Gary Volpe spoke about a young man named Clark Deardorff. Clark has a rare aggressive
blood disease. Volpe Enterprises is doing a fund raiser for Clark and Gary asked for donations
for this cause. A motion was made and seconded to donate the monies from our charity fund.
We will donate the proceeds of the fund and from the 50/50 for November and December.
Activities- Nov 18th- Lansdale Mardi Gras Parade. This year’s theme is “Dreaming Of”.
We will be contacted with the meeting location the week before the parade.
Nov 19th- NPMAFC Car and Drive Swap, 1pm at North Penn High School.
Dec2nd.- Souderton Parade. Barbara Gormley will co-ordinate the meeting location.
Jan 1st- Potential New Years day tour. Anyone willing to host this event contact Phil Christ.
Jan 7th- Club Holiday Party at the Bay Pony Inn, 4 to 7pm.
MARC dues are due.
Dini Vigliano will be updating the 2018 refreshment list.
Tech Talk- Tom Hudecki gave a Model A parts quiz. Tony Russo discussed anti freeze.
Ed Roth discussed the Schumacher Jump Starter.
50-50 Drawling- Won by Frank Gormley.
Our December 4th meeting will be at Penndale Middle School.
December Refreshments- Beth Howard, Ruth Ann Christ, Carl Berlinger, Gary Volpe
