Hershey Car Show -
The show was attended by many club members. Several members had vendor locations. Judging on Saturday had the help of our members Wayne Watson, Ed Roth and Karen Roth. Dini Vigliano and her Cabriolet “Howard” received their 1st Junior Award
October 25th Haynes car event –
Due to the weather our members that attended came in both old and modern vehicles. Those attending thoroughly enjoyed the day and the delicious food. Several club members attended the Central Schwenkfelder’s Annual fair with their cars.
The club web site –
“npmafc.com” now has updated information available with more information being added as it becomes available. After the dues and membership information has been corrected a membership roster and possibly the car list will be added. (Editors Note: Since most members phone numbers are in the local phone books as “public information” it was decided that they would be included. HOWEVER, if you do not want yours listed please contact Dick Longcoy – Membership – and it will not be included). Thanks to Linda Kerper once again for helping us to get on the “WEB”.
Lansdale Mardi Gras Parade – Saturday November 22nd
The club entry has been sent in. Our club is to line up in the area of 711 Perkiomen Ave. prior to 12:30 p.m. for a 1 o’clock parade time. We will be the 5th entry in the parade this year. A phone chain reminder will be made prior to the parade.
“National Library Week” Project – April 12 – 18, 2009
The school librarian has asked the club to participate with displays and/or other ideas. We have been asked for suggestions. Members at this meeting discussed bringing cars, literature, movies featuring Model A’s and their history. Please offer more ideas!
Hatboro Parade – November 23rd
Information will be passed along in by phone chain and hopefully be available on the web site.
Tool list – (Continued from prior meetings)
Barry Papiernik has some tools available at his garage. Some items for the list include: Frame spreader, Rear wheel drum puller, Carb tester, Steering tow-in gage, Brake pedal pusher, Front and rear spring spreaders, Brake shoe former, etc.. The club is looking for more “specialty” tools that can be added. Personal tooling kept at your home but could be “borrowed” will gladly be included. What do you have?
Holiday Celebration -
Will be held on Sunday January 11, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bay Pony Inn – Lederach. The two club special awards (Rusty Wrench & Perseverance) will be presented at that time. Please call Ed Roth with your suggestions as soon as possible. The dinner will again be a delicious buffet. A committee of Elaine Henderson, Carol Allen and Ruth White will plan activities for the event. Each member is allowed to bring a $ 5.00 gift for the “Chinese Auction”. When the gift is placed on the table they get a number.
Chinese Auction Procedure:
1) Everyone who brought a gift will take a gift from the table when their number is called; 0pen it for all to see and return to their seat.
2) When all numbers are called and everyone has a gift the numbers will be mixed up and called a second time. When your number is called this time, you may keep your gift or trade it for anyone elses. If any particular gift is popular it can be traded any number of times untill all the numbers have been called for the second time.
3) The numbers are mixed up again and the procedure repeats except that at the end of calling the last number this time, what you have is yours to keep!
Holiday Party sign-up AND the 2009 Dues Bill will be sent as a combined separate mailing. A single check including both amounts is acceptable.
Picture Gallery –
A request was made to compile a picture file of car details and members cars as well to be placed on the web site.
